Minimize WOW Window

Hello,

i wanted to ask wheather there is any option to minimize the WOW Window.
usually i dont bother, but somtimes it would be nice to minimize the window, to have the desktop to work
but i aint found an option so far, and when i put minimize it opens immediately again

You can't per se minimize the WoW window, but you can still work in other windows while HB runs. First you need to put WoW into Windowed mode. Open WoW and hit the Escape button on your keyboard, then select 'System', and under the Graphics tab (should be the first one and the one open by default) click the dropdown under 'Display Mode' and select 'Windowed'.

Once you've done that, you still can't click the 'Minimize' button on WoW, but you can Alt+Tab to other programs, or click them open from the Task Bar or Start Menu.

If you minimise wow then it will start writing to the ram memore when i beleve blizzard searches. In turn gets you caught botting and banned. I may be wrong about this but i am sure that is why the bot refuses to let you run it minimised

you can make the window very small with HBRelog and then drag the window(s) to the corner/side.

When minimized, WoW simply doesn't render frames. Due to this fact, HB cannot perform some injections. That's all...

I don't think so - I remember this feature in an bot (not named here) before GB comes up...

It's not my opinion, it is. HB injects in a specific place in the DirectX dll. This place is not called when WoW is minimized.
Another bot can use another method, of course.

well thats why i asked
i had another bot some time ago which could bot minimized
but if hb cant... np

As the others have stated, Honorbuddy doesn't let you minimize the WoWclient for a number of reasons.

I do some serious multi-tasking myself, and need a 'clean workarea' for non-botting activities. So, I'll toss you the gratis solution I use: Dexpot | Virtual desktops for Windows.

I currently have 6 virtual desktops set up (on a laptop using only the built-in screen):

• 2 desktops are dedicated to N bots in 2 different games.
• Mail is handled on a 3rd
• Forums and browsing (have about 50 tabs open at once on average) on a 4th
• Code development on the 5th
• Other activities on the 6th

All this on one lappy. Dexpot can provide even more desktops, but I haven't needed them (yet).

No virtual machines involved--this all runs on 'plain' Windoze.

Just tossing it out there as an alternative solution to minimizing the WoWclient & Honorbuddy.

Do you use any plugins or have anything specially configured or does it work right out of the box? When I tried Dexpot whenever I switched to another desktop my WoW accounts would get disconnected after about 5 mins.
