I started my HB and was prompted to update, I clicked yes and my Norton Antivirus popped up telling me it blocked a file and deleted it. I clicked on the details and this is what it says:

"A program was behaving suspiciously on your computer. This program was removed."

The progam file address: c:\users\***\appdata\local\temp\buddyupdater1117091.exe

They also indicted the file type was: SONAR.Heuristic and linked me to a page with details about this type of file, from Norton's page:

I'm not going to accuse you guys because I believe you've helped thousands of people out, including myself, and I appreciate what you've worked hard for us to enjoy. Just wanted to get the word out that there's something fishy with the new update and if you guys could look into it.

Thanks a bunch. Be safe.

Hi, Thegoldstandard,

AV programs are not perfect, and each individual must make their on risk assessments. Obviously, BosslandGmbH would never intentionally put the Community at risk.

The best I can offer:

Thank you for your reply. I deleted the HB folder and redownloaded and all is well. Going to do a full system scan with Norton and Spybot. Are there any other programs you recommend?

May I suggest Comodo Internet Security 6?
Used it for years, never missed a hit. Incredible software. And it's free!

Go for it. :)
except its VERY overkill and will want to sandbox everything by default and cause issues with the bot.

Microsoft Security Essentials is what i use, its light and dost get in my way. and of course free.
