Microsoft visual messing with my life

So I formatted my computer and reinstalled HB from scratch. When I try to open the program, it says that I need to install a x86 version of microsoft visual. The link they offer to follow and install, is broken. My problem is; I have many version installed on my computer, so I don't understand the error message from HB when trying to open it. :/

I understood that my machine has to be fully updated. This is another problem I've had. The Windows Updater will not find any updates but just keeps going. At least it did for 30-40 minutes one time and I just let it go.

Nope, it just keeps searching but nothing happens. You know a fix?
