Okay so I do believe HB is not detected!

But when I tried to appeal one of my bans I got this message:

WHEN RUNNING, THE GAME MAY MONITOR YOUR COMPUTER'S RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) AND/OR CPU PROCESSES FOR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH WORLD OF WARCRAFT. AN ?UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM? AS USED HEREIN SHALL BE DEFINED AS ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE THAT, WHEN USED SIMULTANEOUSLY OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE GAME, WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF SECTIONS 1, 2 OR 7. IN THE EVENT THAT THE GAME DETECTS AN UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM, BLIZZARD MAY (a) COMMUNICATE INFORMATION BACK TO BLIZZARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE ACCOUNT NAME, DETAILS ABOUT THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM DETECTED, AND THE TIME AND DATE THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM WAS DETECTED; AND/OR (b) EXERCISE ANY OR ALL OF ITS RIGHTS UNDER ANY BLIZZARD AGREEMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO THE USER.

They are thus not changing the ban and none of the other 15 bans whatsoever.
Now this message does show that they can somehow proof that I used HB right?

Doesn't that mean that they can actually scan for HB if they want to?
Could a dev elaborate to explain this?

It's a automated response if you looked around alot of people get that answer it is nonsense to let this open as this has been answered alot....
 
Thats what they wrote me too. I asked how this complies with privacy laws and they directed me to their legal departement :D
 
If only we knew how they could "detect" the bot, we could avoid this in the future. But i highly doubt there hacking into your computer or doing something illegal because they are a huge legitimate corporation. Arent there any computer experts on this website that can figure out how they do this?

Yea. It's called the people who make the bot. Not to be rude. But really? This game as a anti-cheat called warden. It scans your world of warcraft process for hacks,bots and all of the above. This bot has a tool called tripwire. If it catches warden scanning your bot it will auto shutdown and the bot will go offline as to not get your accounts banned. I know most of the guys who work on the bot know warden like it's the back of there hand. I only use lazyraider these days. Never been banned for using HB over the last 3 1/2 years. And I also have alot of friends who use the bot. All on there main accounts for lazyraider. The only accounts I know off that have gotten banned where involved in gold selling, herb/mine farming and some from BG botting. And also there was a lawsuit years ago when blizzard was found reading other processes then just wow. So I wouldn't put anything past them. But what I think is going on now is they are putting in more server side bans for bot behaviors and honorbuddy to put it frank is very bot like looking. CLM will always be bot like and unless that changes we will always be seeing bans. Hope this helps.
