Hi

When I follow your guide on this mesh and profile I cant really understand what im doing wrong but it aint working. Ill create a 0 byte txt file in windows explorer and rename it into "something.mesh".. Then I start HB.. load that 0 byte file and press "Start mapping"... running around for a while and press "Stop mapping".. Press Save mesh.. select the "something.mesh" and press save.. AND ITS STILL 0 BYTE BIG!.. so apperently the meshing aint working.. Why?! The debug window only prints "No profile loaded" (The guide says nothing about that the profile should be loaded first).

Okay, what you need to do is

Go on honorbuddy, go to the place you want to start mapping

Click "Load Profile" Load the profile you want (AV for instance)
Then

THIS IS THE PART YOU HAVE TO DO ALSO
Click "Load Mesh"
Then click clear mesh 1-2 times ( i do 2 just to be sure :P)
Then click Start Mapping, map, add hotspots, then click Stop Mapping, and Save As "whatever you want.mesh"

[2:34:35 PM:918] --- Serious Error ---
[2:34:35 PM:921] The destination is not a valid WoW waypoint!
Parameter name: <NaN, NaN, NaN> - From: Styx

this is also pretty comon.. I get sick of this shitsoftware

You cannot run off of cliffs, or jump.

Just test something simple before anything, make a hotspot in the middle of durotar, and mesh all the way around it and save and test.

My way works because i just mapped myself a private av that works like a fucking monster :P

I still for the life of me not get the damn .mesh to save. I have done what the .pdf guide said, another guide said, and now tried doing what this thread said (I loaded a new profile that I had made, then went to profile and meshes and loaded the new mesh (ashenvale.mesh), pressed start mapping, mapped, added hotspots (through eProfile), stop mapping, save mesh. Still it is 0 bytes and when I right click it and Edit (open it notepad) it is empty. Getting very frustrated.

Same exact thing with me.

New nav system will eliminate this bug, its coming soon. In the meantime, if there is no way you can make a mesh you can ask others.

I don't understand how others can make a mesh, yet I can't. Do they go in and hand-edit the .mesh? I'm not asking HOW, just curious. I can be patient enough for the next release. Thanks for the info ski

- Copy an existing mesh into another name (IE AV.mesh into Test.mesh)
- Load the new mesh in Honorbuddy (IE Test.mesh)
- Clear it
- Start mapping a few yards in your area (don't do the whole thing yet)
- Stop mapping
- Save it (don't change the name)

See if the saved file is more than 0kb. If it is, go ahead and map the whole area.

If only this worked for everybody :(

His suggestion works its just a bit hit and miss, try restarting HB inbetween failed attempts, it generally takes me a few attempts to get it to start saving the mesh correctly,

Just do as he says and make it small to start off with (nothing more frustrating that meshing an epic route and having it fail) if its saved a small one i haven't had any failures yet when adding to it

When I do meshes, when I've loaded the mesh, I usually have to actually start the bot and then stop it again for it to save my mesh properly. It's just a suggestion ;)
