Merging of Honorbuddy and Gatherbuddy

Hi,

it is no question - Honorbuddy and Gatherbuddy are so far the best on the market BUT there is something i don't really understand.

Honorbuddy supports:

- CC's
- Plugins
- nice combat
- and more...

Gatherbuddy supports:

- ?

The gatherbuddy combat is just a bad joke compared to honorbuddy although it is your own product and work.

Why do you split that potential that both programs have so that one misses functions from another one? The only reason i can think of is economically..you want to have to different programs to sell?

I have characters that are very good equipped but they die(using gatherbuddy) cause of this stupid restriction that i can only use a few keys for combat..and i am already using macros on that keys...

Another thing is the plugin interface....an awesome idea..why not for gatherbuddy? Would make life much more easier for monitoring and stuff like that.

Would be nice if you boss tony or hawker could comment what i have written.

Come on dude keep up with the news. The aim is to have GB work via a plugin for HB, in my opinion that means you will get all the luxuries of HB but with the benefits of GB.

However, there is no ETA on this.

Gb is a lite platform and its made to gather not to fight
i never had problems on combat using Gb but the truth is that you need some good macros(you can find them on our forums and also there are many sites with macros)
in conclusion in one macro you can add many moves and your char can be "clever" on combat
Gb cant have plugins cause its made on that way

and what Synik said is true,Gb will be an Hb plugin in the future

first priority is to have a stable/final release on questing and then comes paid plugins and Gb plugin
there is no ETA but we are not very far from this tho

I will almost undoubtedly be buying the GB plugin because i think its a sweet concept. Have we any idea of likely cost? Presumably something like the 5 euros a month for GB will be the rough mark? Isnt it going to be quite difficult to intergrate the two?

Of course if you figure in that it was completely possible to not use GB at all until very recently. When the ability to use flying mounts was removed from HB. Using the Angler plugin one could gather as well as GB did. How exactly did that help things, removing the function? Or am I missing something here?

How exactly did that help things, removing the function?

that was owner's decision and in my opinion its useless to discuss it further
the function is there but its disabled for now
in short words we(Buddy Team) dont want Hb atm to use flying mounts cause this will cause other problems that its not now the time to solve
as i said before,first priority its still the questing part

I would buy the GB plugin for HB if it was to be release after cataclysm, if it was to be release in wotlk I probably wouldnt

All I hope is that current GB owners don't have to pay extra to get the plugin As for the rest, there can only be benefits!

I really like that GB is separate from HB...although I welcome the upcoming change to eleviate from creating complex macros. I love the simplicity of GB and how light it is..including some neat features such as rare spawn farming...too bad it can't fight it.

Hope all features are of GB stay/migrate the same to HB.
