Max Camera distance in Legion changing

Just wondering if there was a plugin that could be developed perhaps that could bypass Blizzards plans on limiting the camera zoom?

I see in Legion we will no longer be able to zoom out and make our environment more visible to us.

Just checking to see if this is something HB could do?

Blizzard explicitly stated, that the WoW Client GUI settings would be with "visually" removed tons of options and stats of the client/character (Obviously, to look stupidly easy for the newbies)

But all of these settings and options would still be accessible from the WoW API for the addon developers, so they could make addons, utilizing the removed stuff for the more advanced players !?!

So, if Im not wrong, you could still increase the max camera distance with the popular macro, as used to be in the last 10 years, before they increased the cap in WoD.

There already exist WoWclient addons that allow you to move the camera distance out further than that currently allowed by Bliz. The "Force Max Camera Distance" configuration in Carbonite is one such example.

Many times game makers do this to limit the viewing distance without making it so obvious that's what they're doing. Large viewing distances create performance problems as more triangles & textures must be loaded into the scene. Perhaps (speculation), limiting the viewing distance further implies that Legion will have more graphic detail than the current engine.

But, we're like you... we want to see MUCH more of our environment than the game naturally wants to show us.

Thanks Chinajade, I was hoping for something like what your saying. I was a big fan of Carbonite addon back in its hey day and really loved the features.

Blizzard already had a post, they are removing that functionality from the game, even in their txt files and the command.

this is why its a huge deal for people, as its not something we can get around.

So I figure Legion is going to look exactly like Windows 10 modern start menu with huge tiles for buttons.

How each generation just gets dumber and dumberer.
