Mat prices are falling.. what to do

Hey folks,

as some of you know I try to farm some gold to finance my own wow playing, and maybe invite my girlfriend to dinner every once in a while.. so I don't wanna make shit loads of money.. just enough to keep wow going ^^.

So atm I've got 2 farmin one lvling acc, and gb lifetime ofc.

UD Mage - Herbalism

Human Paladin - Mining (no epic flying yet WTF!.. tommorrow he's gonna get it.. just have him for a couple of days)

With the mats market crashing, due to the upcoming expansion, (stack lichbloom 11g on AH omg) I'm concerned I'm not going to make x gold to make a profit.

The miner makes good money (even though 150% flying mount) due to vendoring saronite bars, and selling the good stuff (about 1k-1,5k in a 12 hour farm session).
The Herbalist barely keeps up with him

So i thought the safest way to continue making enough gold would be skilling mining on the mage to get the most buck for the bang. (The Saronite bars are economy independent income)

Also i will try to snatch up 2-3 cheap lvl 80 accounts on ebay (40-45 euros) to get rdy for expansion, and get the most out of the remaining months and my gb lifetime.

Am I'm missing sth? What do you do to continue your steady income of gold?

I think Cataclysm will be very soon...and as soon as 4.0 hits we can basically stop botting because the mats market will totally collapse.
I would suggest you having two farmers with both mining and herbing.
Let one run Stormpikes ans the other wintergrasp.
Gives you a steady income of Saronite ore (I usually fil l3 guildbank tabs in 3-5 days)
You also get lots of eternals that sell very good and give good money at least on my server.
And even if herb prices are really low on yopur realm 11g is better than nothing^^
And you should get epic flying...drastically increases profit

That's unfortunate for you, lichbloom on my server goes for 29-50g/stack and Icethorn 15-29g/stack. Eternal Life 13-17g ea. Frost Lotus 12-14g ea.

Unfortunately i just started to sell gold / bot as u can see from my other posts

Playing currently on 3 servers .. crashing prices allover ^^

My Goal is to sustain money income to be able to finance the bots themselves and upgrade the bots to cataclysm as soon as it hits.
So I'll snatch up some 80's and get 5-6 farmers.. so I can use all three GB licences for day n' night farming.

Any other ideas ? ^^

40 bucks a pop is a tuff chew for most. Just imagine those that have 40 bots running.

not such a different from yours, and still, with ONE character, im able to get around 5-7k / 12h farming, and i dont have a private buyer for my mats

Well Mord,
if u buy the keys u pay 36 for a full wotlk account with 1 month play time (from vanilla)
with 4 more u get a hand lvld lvl 80 which mostly isn't known (i don't buy 6k gearscore xD better just blues and a few epics)... with propably a good history, so it should protect u a little from bans... (just assuming) And u save the lvl time ^^

i use my gold to buy 2month time cards from people on my realm, never really got enough momentum to make enough gold worth selling for cash.

currently im vendoring all my saronite, prospecting my titanium for epic gems (they still get me around 70-90g each) and herbs im making glyphs to sell for when you learn them.

alchemy used to be a real money maker on my realm but now flasks are down to 10g each. after im done stocking glyphs im going to stock my main's guild bank with flasks for us to use while leveling.
