My first thoughts on this was exactly what you said No1K... the same as before. BUT that actually hides what I really mean. What I mean by this is that absolutely nothing may change or everything may - but is still remains, the basic technique remains the same. 1) Research your server's market. Use TheUndermineJournal and see what's up for sale at what price. See the ebb and flow of supply and demand. What markets are saturated and which ones are under served? 2) Look deeper into the service markets - are particular glyphs or enchants, or leatherworking products doing better than others? I'll give you a hint here - typically trainer taught stuff does poorly cause they are so easy to get - so look for things that are needed (suggested by The Elitest Jerks or glyphs that are recommended at Wow-popular) but aren't learned from the trainer - like glyphs that are learned from the Book of Glyph Mastery and other items like that. 3) Look into 'old products' - Wrath or even BC stuff. Is there a market for lower ranked toons. 4) Look into enchanting mats - what could you get by doing the extended obsidium shuffle (mine ore, prostpect, create jewelry, disenchant, sell mats or make/sell enchants??)
At the end of the day, it's not up to what you read on this board that will determine whether you make bank or not. Being that we don't reveal what servers we 'play' on, we can't make specific suggestions as to what will work on your server... nor can you examane ours based on what we reveal that we're doing. Here you can learn how to bot - and maybe a little bit on what to look for so you can determine WHAT to bot...

Nice suggestion, i'll try the obsidium shuffle. I have a char with one profession left to learn, so i will take jewel-craft. Hopefully it won't take long to level since my friend GB2 is going to farm the ore...

If I'm reading what you wrote correctly, I think I see why you're struggling. You come on here and read something that's working for someone and then you attempt to duplicate it yourself. It may work, but only somewhat... so you then look for something else.
Rather than jump on the obsidium shuffle or other ideas from these forums, you need to shut down the bot and do some research. Yes, it takes time - Yes, it isn't as much fun or as easy as finding the magic method, but the reality is, what works on one server MAY work on another... but if you do the research, then you can find what works - or at least what is working at the time. By spending the time to research you will be able to open up multiple methods that work - so when one starts to tank, you focus on the others while you do more research...
Again, I'm just suggesting on what I read in your post. If I'm off-base, then I appologize...

-Okay anyways... One thing I like to do, Embersilk Bags. (You'll know if you are a tailor) Works especially well on high-pop servers (more people, more alts, more bags needed :O)

Oooh yea... that really works when the doing the Obsidium shuffle too cause I end up with LOTS of Hypnotic dust which on my server is flooded right now... but strangely enough, the Embersilk bags still go for a decent amount of coinage. So for those that are 'watching', that's another example of finding if there is another step you can take to make what is now flooded into something that is high profit AND high demand.
I understand what you say and, believe it or not, i agree on every word... But the thing is: I don't have much time really. This is one of the reasons i bought the bot... In fact, i was about to cancel my WoW subscription because my guild-mates were waaaay ahead of me... When i started playing (about 5 years ago) i had lots of time... Now, i have a full time job, i'm about to get married, and have (with luck) an hour or two every day to play... So, in the little time i have, i would rather focus on funny activities (such as PVP or raiding) instead of studying economy... The problem is that at some point (for many, many people) WoW becomes like a JOB... You HAVE to make money, you HAVE to do some research, you have to complete certain tasks once a day or else you stay behind, you HAVE, you HAVE, you HAVE... And when it happens, it is no longer fun...
I have read some gold guides written by people that seem to have a Ph.D in economy... I wouldn't dare to look at WoW in such a way... I'm not a Wall Street trader, i'm just a guy who wants to have fun a couple of hours a day.
I think if you can't do what needs to be done, at least do the next best thing.

I'm fortunate - cause I'm not all that busy at my job - only when ppl have problems, and since I'm good at what I do, they don't have problems very often. (Preventing fires is much easier than putting them out - no, I am NOT an actual fireman... lol)
Sooo... when I'm at work, I peruse these and other forums that aren't blocked... and do further research on the sites that I can get to. Then I try different things when I get home.
I getcha about being busy. I work full time, spend 12 hours a week in college (2 night classes), am a newlywed (both of our 2nd) and we have a young son. If you spend 1 to 2 days doing a little research after taking some notes from people suggest on here, then you will make alot more gold on the remaining days you are botting. Do that for 2-3 weeks and work at least 3 different markets, or 3 different apects of the same market... and your gold will thrive. Then you just have to maybe recheck every couple of weeks or so to see if there's any new markets opening up, or changing.
