So I've got honorbuddy right now and I'm going to be buying gatherbuddy once I hit 80. The current problem that I have is I'm not really enjoying the game when I play it because Im afraid of talking to people because they might add me or whatever and notice me online for days on end or try to talk to me while I'm botting and get suspicious.

I'm wondering what you guys do about this? Aside from buying a new account to talk to people on what should I do so I can actually socialize in the game without worrying about people getting suspicious?

Also, have you ever just told someone that you bot? Like maybe telling your guild about it so they are cool with it?

Sorry if this is a little random and incoherent. Typing on my iPod half asleep watching tv haha.

Im not a pro farmer, and I think you and I are very much alike.
I only got Honorbuddy, and I use it for some time to time farming.

The way I do it, is that I have my main Character, who'm I have handleveled to lvl 80.
And then I have my Death knight, who's lvl 75 atm, it is with him I bot.

So simply, with my main, I got to raids, have fun, talk to friends etc. And then I have my Death knight, who has no friends :)
Only my irl friends know, that when that character is online, there is no reply :D

Most of my friends know I'm doing it and talk to those characters so my autoreply goes off, makes it look more real.

I also bribe them with mats.

My main (that is guilded) doesn't get botted :p

i usualy just go into orgrimmar and ask everyone permission to bot. And then once i get approved i turn my bot on and go 24/7 around storm peaks. then i make a GM ticket asking "hey i botted for 72 hours and i would like to exchange my mats for Game Time" Works best everytime.

I am in a guild with RL friends that all know I do it, much like ski said. But in your case, not sure what to suggest. You do bring up an interesting question.

Botting is a lonely life ... I limit my friends to my main account, and only use my bot accounts for farming/leveling. If one of the bots becomes a character I want to play, then I let my friends know and then level up a new farmer.

I would advise against telling anyone that you bot, especially guildies who you may not know very well. Who knows what might happen to cause them to report you someday. It's not worth the risk.

Yeah, my main acct has my friends and such, but my botting account doesnt have annyyy friends but the other ones that bot. We know if we dont reply thats what we're doing. Also, never mention the word "Bot, HB, GB" in game. Not that blizzard is watching your every move, but if it does come down to an investigation, they may look at your previous chat logs and use it against you.

For example, when i'm done chatting with my friends in game, i usually say, "Okay, later dude. Gonna go level now." or "Farm now". They usually know what it means, since they do it too with HB and GB.

But yes, unfortunately it is safest to have no friends. Especially if they DONT know you bot.

my bot has no friends... althou sometimes i find it hard.. eg i was botting in storm peaks.. and someone Pm'd me asking me things bout a quest.. so i went and helped them with my bot lol..

my bots bank has friends.. and i trade to people with that.. thats how i do most my sales
