Making a new acccount WoW account (need advice)

Hiya.

So I've sold a couple of my previous accounts and I've recently found out one of those accounts " IE one of the people i sold one to" scams..

I'm In the process of making a new account as I've been using my friends, Is their anyway if I put it under my full name one of these people could use my id scan and steal my new account? or because of offenses they might commit on one of my previous accounts my new one gets banned?

I would assume they could. When someone hacked my account and put an authenticator on it I had to send in a birth certificate so this seems like their greatest proof that the account does in fact belong to you.

Yeah but wouldn't they need your battlenet ID ? or could they call up blizzard and find that out by saying your full name or something? sorry I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff lol.
