Main Account safe ?

Hey !

I 'm going to buy a new account where I'll just bot and make gold.

Both are on the same pc, I hope it's no problem !

The farmed gold will I always send my main.

On my main I will not use the bot, only on the second account

So my main account is safe ?

Bot wize you should be safe, but gold transfer not so mutch.
Oreha is right. Guildbank is the safest way to transfer gold.

create 2nd account, farm etc - place money in Guildbank, withdraw on main account etc

I do exactly what you're talking about. I have three farming accounts, they make around 30k total each day and a fourth account that I never bot on. I also use my guild bank to move the gold around. So far it's working, I've been doing this since last May. However, I was out of town for work in DEC and JAN, when there were several bans, so I can't say if it will actually protect your main when there is a focused effort to ban us by blizz. Obviously your farming accounts are going to get banned, that's inevitable.

Don't use the bot at all when your main account is running. I always make sure the Battle.net client is shut down as well. When I close it, it minimizes to the system tray...

As always, if you're worried about your main account, don't use the bot. Eventually, everyone gets caught...

HERE is the profile I've been using for several weeks. Basically, it works without any babbysitting, which is just how I like it.


All this is just my own theory crafting. I'm not sure if any of it will protect my main account.

You should know there is some risk to your main account.

From your proposal, the main account will be benefiting from the botted account (via gold, guild perks, etc). We frequently refer to this 'benefiting' as 'linking' the accounts, and there are all kinds of ways to (accidentally) do it. If your botting account gets caught, then any linked accounts are also subject to penalties (including bans).
