Mage Leveling HELP+ ADVICE Please!!!

Hello all

Im trying to level a mage i have done a few toons now and only mage and priest left to go really but is it me or are they really really bad for bot leveling lol

At this moment he is 29 and been hard work getting him there:(

All i would like to know is the best way to getting him to 80 or will it be hard work all the way i have gone frost spec and plan to dual spec him but to be honest i think i will just get him to 51 and AV it the rest!

Any advice welcome :-)

Hey :)

I don't know I have never lvled a mage using bot.. But you should go for something that fits your taste! Are you using Banderas mage CC? I think the default one is really poor. So a CC would definetly speed things up :D

I leveled my mage 1-80 np (use frost spec best survivability)
use 1-60 horde profile
However, i adjusted each area i went into by 2 levels,
that is if it was for say levels 14-16
I changed profile so my toon was 16 when it did profile until it was 18
(Hope that makes sense
found it a lilltle slower but almost 0 kills or down time

Yes Husserusse im using Banderas mage CC but he is getting killed alot its the cloth i think as soon as he gets 2 on him he might just do it but most of the time dies lol oh well he will get there in the end i asked in case im doing something wrong and reason im doing a mage is because i would like another ranged dps to try as im getting sick of melee lol
 
i used bliiiks 1-60 till 58
then used davelisters 58-68
(bliiiks wan't done at that time, so i dont know if its better)
then AV all the way to 80
( i did use WSG & AB on their holiday weekends too )
by the time you hit 80, you should have plenty of honor points to get your pvp epics

oh yeah, frost specced
 
botted frost 1-26 using bliiks 1-60 and bans mage cc and quit. i hated the xp/h from the average of 7 deaths per hour/.
 
Botting up a new mage since my last one got banned. It's definitely pretty painful but it gets better when you hit 40 and can get Ice Barrier. Until then I would do what cpiwiz said and just adjust the level of your profiles so you're in lower level areas longer than you would be with most classes.
 
Ok thanks all for your replys i will lower the levels on the horde profile until i can get him into AV then spam it :-)
 
lvled a mage as well
its bad till u get ur bubble once u get that ur set also get eternal water or elemental w/e itll make ur pet last forever
 
from my experience i have seen that Frost build can keep you alive at sifficult situations
but Fire build is a little bit faster

i prefer Frost
at low lvls Mages are fragile,so i edited my profiles i order to make them "Mage friendly"
 
Thanks tony I will give yours a look as well :-D I have been told mages can do some very good dps so I want one :-)
