Hello guys,

I been searching for an answer to this question but couldn't find it. What does it take to change Mac address of my desktop PC? Swapping some hardware, reinstall (different) Windows, getting new router or network card?

I been worried lately that Blizzard is targeting my PC/Mac address, so I'm hoping that I can change it, so it looks like brand new PC to them, eg. new user starting to play WoW. I have dynamic IP address, and been restarting it each day, but it seems thats not enough.

I know very little of this matter, so any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

MouseMD

1)open your chrome/mozilla/opera
2)google
3)''spoof my mac address''

( i recommend applying for a different IP from your ISP tho, mac address is just 1 step ahead)

I have dynamic IP, it changes every time I restart my router. I can try to change network provider tho, if that might help.
spoofing should be a software/hack solution, without any hardware change (if I understood right)?

thanks for the answer btw :)

it is not possible to "see" your mac address trough the TCP/IP Protocol
so you wont have to modify your routers mac at any time

when speaking of your clients mac address - it's also not possible to see this one over the internet.
only way to see your mac is when the intel is gathered on your local pc and sent "over" the internet.

if you want to make sure your mac could not be exposed: use virtualbox and create a new vm for your wow

Just use VM to modify your OS, its pretty straightforward. You dont really have to change provider, just ask a new IP from your current ISP or buy a dedicated static IP ***

How can Blizzard make a difference between two computers using the same router (same IP) then, for example multiple PCs in internet cafes etc.?

I always thought that having dynamic IP is an advantage, as you can change it any time. Also I think that buying dedicated IP costs a lot in my country. :/

its around 10euros/month for 2 users in 1 comp. if u get banned in 3 accounts calculate the cost and the time invested to get back to this lvl. Now is it worth it?

Having Dynamic IP sucks as well.

IF you were blizzard who would look suspicious to you?

1)someone whos changing his ip
2)someone who has a stable ip

Exactly. i get locked out of my accounts all the time if i try to view them from work, so i just stop. I don't want un needed eyes in my account

So in the end solution would be using the VMware to make it appear that each bot is on separate PC, as far as I gathered from your replies.

How many bots I should run from the same IP max?

just a heads up, 20 bots currently running with no vm/vp*n or any other "cloaking" methods at all.

stable for months. banrate < 2%
