we need a few things king...

Price range, preference (amd, intel - certain board manufacturers), are you in US, EU, Mars, Jupiter? Do you prefer newegg.com or another site? Is that all you need (mobo/cpu combo)?

have you tried throttling the fps to 20 bk (/console maxfps 60 <enter> /console maxfpsbk 20)?

so you basically have 2gb ram in your comp now (not much as win vista/7 require 1gb for itself).

are you running win xp 32? or 64?

are you going to be installing win 7?

Heres what I recommend:

2.5 ghz+ quad core cpu (with matching mobo combo)
[vid card seems ok]
750-1000w psu OR dual 550w+ psu's
8GB-16GB+ DDR3 ram
2 HDD's ... 1 for system + programs, 1 for WoW / bots (if this will be your main comp - if just bot comp it should be ok to have 1)
dvd-r optical drive (or blu-ray reader/writer if its your main?)
a copy of win7 (i like mine from torrents)
possibly a 2nd vid card that supports SLI for more gfx if this is your main - if not, you should be ok for now

again we need a price range, and if you just want to upgrade or want us to build you a new comp?

do you want amd, intel i3, i5, i7 (low, medium, high cost for intel)?

Ditto - your CPU + Memory are holding you back - with a cheap quadcore and 4 gigs of ram you should be able to run 6 instances of wow on the graphics card you have now.

be like me :D im getting an I7 920 cpu, 12GB DDR3 1600mhz ram, and a brand new sparkling mobo :D

Overkill much?

Here's my botting PC I run 10x WoW's on:

AMD Athlon 5200+ @ 2.7Ghz
Some crappy ?30 AM2+ motherboard
2x 2GB DDR2 @ 800Mhz
Nvidia Geforce 210
Generic ?15 450w PSU
80GB SATA HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (stripped down version)

Cost me ?200.

well thats why i asked his price range.

Mine is an AMD 3.0 ghz duo core w/ gigabyte board
ATI 4800 series vid card
650w psu
500 gb hdd
2x2gb ram ddr3 1066
win7 ultimate

^^ $350 USD

But if he's going to be upgrading, might as well spend a good $800, as his system is going to be bottlenecked. Compaq's are known for having cheap parts (i've owned a couple). Basically we need a price range OP :)

THanks for the input, I am running windows Xp and my price range is about $300.
I live in US. I would like to just upgrade. I dont think my motherboard will be able to use any other/better cpu thats why I need to replace both, but I dont know what will be compatible with my current system

well your mobo/cpu *is* your system, the rest is just goods

well do you just want more ram for now, then throw down $500+ on a new comp? all up to you =) theres some mobo/cpu/ram combo's out there that may work for you

Well I'm just looking for a mobo/cpu upgrade that works with my pc. As where I can get the best for my price range

I just dont know whats compatible,

how the hell are you running 10 wows on a machine like that... mine not much down from that and can only run 3 at a struggle

Best thing to do is replace cpu memory and Mobo in one hit - and also buy the mobo cpu and memory most PSUs will run a better system - Or you could just buy a base unit - there really is some good deals out there at times, then when you are satisfied that the new base unit is ok sell your old.Buying a base unit in will save you time and maybe hair pulling also.

so basically you're looking for a cheap upgrade so you can run more bots?

alright!

AMD Quad core:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.334277 182.00 w/ ?? board - i dont like micro atx's
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.334806 166.00 w/ Asus board

Pentium Quad cores run 200+ ... i personally wouldn't go below quad core, b/c you would have to upgrade again next year anyways b/c of cataclysm engine
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.332562 253.00 intel quad w/ gigabyte board

you can always get your own board and cpu if you like to mix/match, these are just combos that save you 10-30$

now for memory... you need to get memory that matches your mobo and cpu fsb (front side bus, the mhz)

Best thing to do is search newegg yourself and see what you like =)

I built a super cheap botting system this month. $330 Core i3 530, MSi H33 matx, 480w antec earthwatts (rebranded seasonic 550w), 4gb patriot 1600xmp, 9500GT, 320gb WD Blue. It'll handle 8 clients at once with reasonable framerates, and doesn't draw much power.
