I couldn't figure out if this is against the rules or not, so if it is, please delete it.

I am looking for experienced farmers and botters who are willing to start a gold selling business.
The planning is in the early stages and Im trying to get some smart people who would become partners.
if anyone would like more information send me a message and ill send my msn/skype information over.

It will take a while to get to develop mutual trust but this is key so it may take time.

This has been suggested about 6 or 7 times on these forums so far. (in about year and a half time)
Every time people would get excited and such, then it slows down till people lose interest and eventually, whoever suggested it as well.

Hopefully, this one will get to last at least for a while =)

well, I have been farming gold for a while now and I feel I know enough from selling gold and buying it (back before i started using HB) to give it a good shot.

I have been thinking about this to, some sort of private sellers organization, to help farmers to find buyers that is not chinese.
in some way.

What is needed.

*A Website might be good.
*More?

this is what i was thinking, I have some more detailed ideas but im keeping them hush hush until I have discussed them with people involved.

well, i was thinking just EU, however doing both may be a good idea... as of yet, things arent set in stone. I want to talk to some interested people first in order to start things off...

... basically what im hoping to start doing is selling gold at a competative price, while giving the farmers the bulk of the $ made. the chinese selling sites are waaaaay too greedy, selling at $2/k and only buying at $.5/k ... it should be the other way around with the website getting the .5/k and the farmer getting 1.5/k

the way i see it, reputation and trusted sellers and buyers should be the main focus.

You seem don't know much about what is going on recently. From the beginning, American/European companies are always the one that are greedier. They buy at $1 and sell at $3 or 4$, simply because the cost to hire American/European employees are much higher than Chinese (can you hire a customer service employee with $200/month in the West ?). Nowadays, most of them are out of the business because they couldn't compete with the Chinese, only a few direct-from-sellers-to-buyers sites still operate, but are losing their market share to similar service from China. In today context, having US IP is not a big issue (can bypass by using VPN services), communicating with customers in English is also not a big issue (Chinese can use English well too, especially via chat, or email). American can buy bot, Chinese can buy bot, American cannot hire people with only $150/month to watch the bots for you, Chinese can. In the long run, I think it will be something similar with all the simple factory jobs, they move to China. Only the high skill jobs stay in the West (finance, graphic design, software engineering, etc..). How many goods in your local Walmart are not from China ?

Check with one random website from the very big Chinese network (for example, gameusd.com), you will see that they can offer incredible low price, that can amaze the American consumers (as low as $1.2 per K for US servers, EU is much lower). All the gold have "US-IP-source", and can be delivered in a very timely manner, with acceptable customer service. How can they do that ? Because nowadays, they've already evolved into a very competitive system, that has incredible big supply network of hundreds of thousands of gold farmers (70% using bot) covering all servers, has professional Marketing/HR/R&D departments, and a professional customer service employing Chinese graduates that study English for 4-5 years. They have learnt how to do business in a very effective and very efficient way, buying in at $0.9 and selling out at $1.2-$1.4 and still making profit.

If you want to compete with that system, you need much more information, knowledge, skill and talents than just the will to sell your gold at a better price. I also wanna join with you, and can provide valuable information about anti-ban perspective of the project, but I need to know the leader really have creativeness and insight of the business, to bring out some competitive advantages for this big project. Otherwise, I'm better off selling to the Chinese.

I think some good points have been made but selling at a lower price is always the first thing the underdog has to do in order to get customers in the first place. In the internet world we can no longer rely on word of mouth and local reputation because the 14yr old with his moms credit card buying the $40 of gold or whatever could careless so long as it is cheap and reliable. I agree that a private seller network would be beneficial as we could lower our seller ban rate resulting in less of a "tax" from Blizzard. I don't know about you all but I have had much better success in keeping my accounts with private buyers & sellers than with random chinese. Or if you are private like I currently am you might use a middle man trading company who never steps into the in-game space so is never brought into the blizzard situation but just my experience

As far as from the business perspective in the end we are all just suppliers to one higher supplier so yes, I would supply at the given price on any server you'd like and stay in contact via skype or email 75% of the day, follow trading rules, give ideas etc.

This idea is old. People've tried it many years ago due to the fact that middleman companies don't wanna stock gold and risk themselves getting banned by Blizzard ==> less risk, less cost ==> better price for customers. The problem is: After the first 1 or 2 trades, how can the website stop sellers from contacting and trading with the buyers without going through the system and pay the fee again ? And how to become popular enough to attract a healthy amount of suppliers and buyers come to the site and keep it going ? Blah blah blah... In fact, only a few of these attempts have become success (including the current big Chinese network, we just don't know enough Chinese to gain access to it). The rest has become ghost towns.

Ive wanted to get this going along with powerleveling/honor farming business but didn't know which forums to go to to do this. Anyway I'd like to be apart of this. I have website building experience and running a small business experience.

I would like to know if you have a business plan and whatnot. I'll PM you with my email and some stuff to talk more about this.

only partially true

edit: without the middleman there is no professional guarantee you're getting that money from the buyer
