Long time player (almost) ready to jump into botting - A few questions for the pros

I've found some answers in other threads, but I've had a hard time getting a few reliable ones answered. I've been WoWing for a LONG time - 15+ years - and never botted. My main account has 23 toons that do well with gold and items, but I've always been curious about the bots. So here my main question if anyone can help:

Currently running a single computer. Can I run two accounts on it and if so, is that two different versions of the game and/or two accounts under one bnet?

Or, is it safer to have 2 computers, 2 bnets with 2 different game versions.

I'm not all that paranoid about getting banned since I'm going to use it very sparingly, however that's a LOT of hours of playing that I'm not sure I'm ready to jeopardize. Thanks in advance all!

Run 1 wow per computer because blizz can tell how many wows you have open.

As for all the hours you put it. It's this simple. If you don't want to lose an account never ever bot on it.

Thanks nooblet. I really have way to many hours and hate to risk it, but seeing as there are so many success stories if you use it right, I'd love to give it a try.

Solid advice for all beginners. People have used HB once and got banned during a banwave. This why "If you don't want to lose an account never ever bot on it."

I wouldn't bot on your main account. Not one that's that old, unless you want to lose it. Even using it once could get you banned. I would just get a separate account and comp to bot on, and never touch your main account with it. That would be the safest.

Well I run 20+ Wows+HB from one PC- and my only bans have been from the HB was detected.

You can botbanthoery all you want (I do its fun).. End of the day no one knows how blizzard runs.. What happens in Blizzard HQ is a total mystery. I know HB users that where using HB during both the banwaves that didn't get banned at all.. How the hell did that happen ?

What I can tell you is currently If you Bot with HB on your main account- It will be banned at some point- you might get 6 months or ever 18months... however the time will come where you will get the dreaded email informing you your account has been suspended for 6 months.

unfortunately bossland have showed us (through there actions) they no longer have the ability to keep our account safe like it was just over 12 months ago. This is not a dig a bossland (although I believe transparency would have been a better idea) but the have attracted too much heat for them self.

Only TIME will tell if they once again will have the ability to keep us save.. There isn't anything they can say to change my opinion of this, if in 2 years time they have not been hit by a banwave - then I will once again have faith they can keep us save.

HOWEVER- that certainly doesn't stop me using the AMAZING bot- its the best in the business and will do just about anything you want it to do (and well).. I will make you lots of gold and farm all those mounts you ever wanted to.. and with the account bount mounts its just so easy.. Bot on one account to pay for your subs on your main + your botting account.. and use your bot account to farm up what ever you need.

end game gear means nothing- AOTC is all that matters now...

Is this fact or your opinion? I've never seen anything definitive on this and many other theories. I have run 15 accounts for long periods of time on 1 computer, no VM's, no VPN's and have had some of those accounts get band but not all. I have also run groups of 5 and had all 5 banned at the same time. Over the years i've had about 35 accounts banned and have yet to be able to figure out a pattern as to how Blizz has figured it out.

I only say all of this because a lot of people on many forums say things as if they were facts. There are legitimate reasons to run multiple instances of WoW on a single computer, many people multi-box and that is not against the TOS.

Do not, do not, do not I can't stress this enough DO NOT! Bot with an account you love, it might be tomorrow, it might be in 4 years, but it's very simple it will be banned 100%. HB is amazing don't get me wrong, there's just a lot of things needed to be tweaked, I find the wod content is all pretty bullet proof, but older profiles have bugs. The program does many "weird" unexpected things, and you'll find yourself having to watch and tweak it a bunch, and while your doing this other players will very easily see this "odd" behaviors and report you. As for running two wows on one computer I don't think anyone can give you a yes or no is it safe answer. Just do not bot on your main account! and right now if you bot on any account avoid bgbuddy at all costs! Me being paranoid I also avoid dungeonbuddy.

Dont bot on your main account or interact with a botting one.
Bot the life out of the alt ones on different battlenets / enjoy
