i was just doing chain quest for stormpeaks when i went to check on my bots, a GM was whispering me seeing if i was there in a window and i freaked out lol

took me a while to realize i had to reply him by using the regular whisper key then i told him my story { won't leak out because i know they troll these forums } and he was laughing with me XD

anyways saved myself another farmer with full epics. good ones ;D
 
GM caught me botting, i gave him a funny fake story he was cool with it and i got away :)
 
Nice maybe a 3 weeks ago this guy also had the same encounter and he started to complain about the xp and the GM gave him full rested xp...if one ever whispers me and im there im going to do that too.
 
wait, so an actual in game GM knew you were botting, and let you off without even a slap on the wrist (like xp removed, or gold/items removed?) Wow, I would have thought that if they caught you red handed that it would be banhammer time... Lucky you.. So by story, do you mean something like "I only bot cause i dont have enough time to lvl/farm gold" or "I didnt know botting was not allowed" or a lie like "i wasnt botting, i just didnt know how to respond to GM whispers"
 
GM messages pop up in a seperate window? So not like a whisper?
 
Yea. They pop up, Next to your mini map on the left of it.

I'm pretty sure it was something like, he was running into a wall and the GM was thinking "wtf" or he was just grinding and the GM was thinking, "Why is he grinding on mobs in the middle of no where instead of questing or using the dugeon or bg system to level." And then he made up some story to explain why he doesn't use those and is instead grinding to 80.

Not sure but that's what I got out of it.
