Limitation on attack speed

is there a reason old routine attacks super slow. there seems to be like a half second delay between attacks on my archer.. is there a reason for the attack speed limitation?

The routine is old, it clears the key state every action which is bad, sadly nothing much to do except waiting for a newer version.
