There is no denying that if you hate queues in the game, if you want somewhat effective gaming sessions due to not having a overload of spare time to spend on the game there is simply one specialization to go for in World of Warcraft these days and that's Tank.
Upon the release of Mists of Pandaria I decided to ditch my Troll, Mage which had been my main character ever since The Burning Crusade due to the insane queue times for everything like battlegrounds, normal dungeons, heroic dungeons, looking-for-raid and whatnot. One had to expect at least 15-40min queues for about anything in the game making it a real drag to enjoy anything. I manually levelled a Pandaren Monk Mistweaver, my very first healing character making my average queue times go from 15-40min into 5-20min. I was a bit afraid of healing to begin with as I had only played DPS, Honorbuddy with the combination of TuanHA Monk Special Edition custom routine it proved to be a blast playing as a healer.
Now it's time to try out playing as a tank to eliminate these god damn queue times all together. I know for a fact that tanking will require a bit more from me as a player using Honorbuddy as you actually have to consider how many mobs to pull, there are quite a few bosses requiring you to actually pay attention to whatever it is you are doing and whatnot compared to botting as a healer where Honorbuddy does 99% of the job and all you have to really do is paying attention to stuff on the ground and other things that might kill you doing heroics and raids and that's pretty much it. But I want to test it out and I'm quite convinced that with a decent custom routine, Honorbuddy will prove to make the life as a tank quite easy and streamlined anyway.
This brings fourth the big question, which class should I pick for tanking with Honorbuddy? Which class got the most efficient and bulletproof custom routine that will make my life as a tank using honorbuddy the easiest?
We've got quite a few tanking classes in the game as of today:
- Death Knight
- Druid
- Monk
- Paladin
- Warrior
Which do you consider to be the best? What custom routine is recommended for tanking with your recommended class and why do you consider this one to be superior compared to the others? And tips, tricks and hints for one starting to use honorbuddy for tanking for the very first time?
