Leveling engineering = use GB?

I'm wondering what the best way to raise professions using HB/GB is.. an I better off raising mining from level 1 with GB and gathering minerals myself, or using HB to farm gold and buying mats?

I have never used GB so I am not sure how efficient it is in terms of ore/hr, especially for the new cata zones.

Gb is awesome mate! I haven't fully tried GB2 (that comes as an addon to HB) but GB will rock your world. Personnally, once I get the fast flying mount (=lvl70) I level up mining and herbing and from there on make shitloads of gold.

When i lvl up a lvl 1 tp 85, i always get it the proffessions Mining and Herbing, cus HB will also gather this while lvling, so when i hit lvl 80-81 i start up GB to farm ores and herbs to lvl my char up.. and when im 83-84 i use arch buddy to lvl up the rest chance for epics and mounts while lvling sweet music in my bee ears.. bssssss

well i have tried a few different approaches, and price wise, at least on my server it's far cheaper for me to farm the mats and level... that's taking into account the following (average cost of mats&recipes following average skillup guide > average amount gathered for mats) at least for my server it is cheaper to just farm em myself, but i am an alt whore so it can get a bit expensive, but since i don't sell my goodies i don't have to worry about losing real cash for such things as the only real cost to me is time... and i know some will bring up the argument that time=money, but hey if I'm sleeping that time doesn't count for me.

I use mining/engy or herb/engy.. I've recently noticed that herbs dont trigger the condenser from engy as much as mining, but the extra 200 or so volatile airs a day from the engy condenser thing is nice money.. the herb toon gets maybe... 60 a day so far, its whacky but its free airs for somethin sitting in your bag.

When I lvl my miner, I keep all my mats (if I can afford to) so that engy is free for my miner, and somwewhat for the herbalist (ran out of fel iron - ouch)

what i did for my mage is i didnt bother with prof and when i hit 81 i put the full cloth set on him and bought cata greens and used liquidfires air profile from 81-85 sold all the airs and used it to power lvl my profs. Then i made a dk with minning/herb lvled him up and once he hits 85 ill start using gb to farm my ass off and finish power lvling by buying mats with the gold i make and materials i farm


edit:Is arch that good because if so ill ave to use it im lvling a mage ill be playing for a main(if i dont get banned lol) and i seen some of the very useful stuff you can get. Just wondering how it is xp/hr wise
