Leveling and Collecting Battle Pets?

I see some older stuff for Battle Pets around the forum but nothing recent, especially now, since PokeLevel dev, Inrego, stopped playing WoW.

Is there any good stuff that still works for boosting pets and collecting rare ones, specifically for me, the Unborn Val'Kyr?
