If u ask me i know 2 things for sure: 1) nobody got banned for a long time after update ( and i think that the most risk is in gyms when u collect pokecoins)
2) there is no safe botting, u can bot humanlike as u want or bot unhumanlike the result is same ( the point of bot is that niantic dosn't detect it), u are mistaken if u think that niantic is checking each account individually

I keep hearing this, but what substantial evidence is it actually based on? I've collected about 100 coins on a botted account that I use for real and sometimes bot with off and on, and I've not been banned. This account existed prior to the huge banwave that hit us a couple of weeks back. Now I know that my account is just one of many that contradict it, but it seems to me that there is no reason to suspect that it has anything whatsoever to do with the coins.
