Let us hatch our eggs!

I realize you are having an issue getting info from the servers. From my subpar understanding our inventories populate and the recycle/transfer feature works fine. I would like it if in the meantime you set something up that would have my character "jog" around to hatch my eggs until the rest of this is analyzed and figured out. This should be easy (again subpar knowledge) to set up. Have a feature to allow us to walk in a straight line.. or a big 1km circle. I will go to pokestops myself and get more eggs. Is this possible?

Better let the devs spend all their time they have on fixing the entire bot. So don't think this will happen anytime soon.

Log in on your phone, tape/fasten your phone to a ceiling fan/fan blade, turn it on low, wait for eggs to hatch.

Look, no decoding, just hatching. (This actually works btw...)

Please don't make useless requests to the devs when they are focusing on rebuilding the bot.

While I agree that this would be a cool feature in the mean time, meh. I can live without it. Egg hatching is literally one of the least important aspects in the game to me.

To plug in something making you walk in a straight line wouldn't be difficult. Acting as though it would take hours to implement is kinda funny! My fan would require me to use my phone.. the point of this is to not worry about having my phone occupied spinning on a fan. Keep the "the devs must focus" comments to yourselves as this is clearly not asking to take away concerted efforts from repairing the bot.

They are a team of 40+ programmers all working together on a total rebuild of the bot, so yes, it would be taking away concerted efforts.

While they could do it quickly, part of the problem would be the fact that gps spoofing like this could make you walk into 'red zones', like, i don't know, walking across the entire ocean?

It would have to have safeties and sanity checks. it's not as simple as one might otherwise believe.

It is actually extremely simple. You download the Nox emulator, pre-packaged with Pokemon Go installed that lets you use the WASD keys to move about the map. There are some extra steps involved when you introduce an app that's called Lockito that let's you emulate a GPS itinerary. You pick where you want to walk, how fast you want to walk, and click Play. It calculates the distance your walk will be and allows your character to walk around in game.

ceiling fan solution seems much easier

Except that the game uses location pings at intervals of 4 minutes to calculate distance traveled over time and if your speed is above 15-18km/h the distance traveled is not counted.

It's not a useless request and who the fuck has a ceiling fan.. its 2016 not 1916...
