Legion profession most @#$% up ever, how do u lv ur profession? ?

in the old days, u can have ur alts that ur not interested playing, get them to max level (thanks to honorbuddy) and then just sit that toon in the city. as long as he gets a steady supplies of raw material. u will not miss out anything in game in terms of profession.

now as many of u may know, this legion is not very alt-friendly. in previous expansion u can level ur alts up and get some crafted gear and enjoy playing alts. but now with the artifact power and story progress, the alts that u start 2 months late into the expansion will never be as strong. that's why I wanna use alts for profession, and since we can use HB to grind raw material it would be no problem.

but in legion this completely changed, it was already time consuming enough to get ur main toon to 860+ ilv. now if u want an alt to do profession U CANNOT. to level profession u need to do quests, which require u to go dungeons. and some need 1000 mana, means u'll need to quest thru suramar yourself and find things to increase ur mana capacity. plus now u need to be at a certain spot to make ur items, to use the tools they have to make items. it gets even more time consuming. plus u'll need to farm blood of sagaras on ur alts. means u have to gear them, and u cant just gear them by crafting items cos u need to be geared to craft gears. that means running dungeons, do world quests on few more characters. plus in legion now u need very high ilv requirement for dungeons. for example u'll need 810 to do a 820 content.

I start this thread cos I got my alt to 110 and they are ilv 770-780ish. trying to craft some gears its almost impossible, like a lot of online review are saying. in order to level your profession. it requires u to actually spend time to play and gear your alts, cant just sit in capital city anymore and wait for material from the mail that u farmed from ur super geared main.

so do anyone of u level profession on alts? how is it even possible if I don't have time.

The question is is why do you want/need to level your professions? What are you trying to create that requires max level?

Yes, they screwed up professions for alts. But at the same time, there's nothing you need to be max level for.

If gearing your characters is what your after, gathering professions is the best way to go and have other people craft your gear.

My strategy-
Level 100 toon -> pick up Herb+Mining -> level them to 110 using your prefered method -> use Gatherbuddy to get raw mats to be sold on AH and loot up Bloods of Sargares -> use the gold made from AH to buy crafted items with the correct stat priority for your class/spec -> buy obliterum from AH and use your bloods to upgrade your items.

Depending on the game content you are doing, crafted 850 epics are arguably the best items you can get because you get to choose your stats.

i think what vcreation is most upset about it blizz disrupted the crafting money train. no longer can you create an alt, level to cap, level professions and have your bot feed mats to that alt to make gold.

they actually put thought into this expac. people complained about the questing content only lasting a week or so for each toon. blizz responded in spades.

true botters will always find a way to accomplish their goals. whether its mass chinese bot farms, or the single guy who doesnt want to plow through leveling another alt from 100-110.
