Hey guys, I want to ask something that has been bugging me for a while.

While going around these forums, most people recommend staying low and not botting, doing daily quest, etc...

But, isnt this all pointless when they check your account and see either you using a third party software, packets being injected/modified (dont know if I am correct on this one), and all sorts of automated behaviours...

So, doesnt this render useless laying low OR at the first reporting stage they do not look that deep in your account?

I am asking this because I found some few "exploits" in zones which allow me to bot extremely safe and no one can see me. I just fear that having a character lower than normal level in some areas could affect and peeps reporting it.

Thanks <3

EDIT: I think I posted in the wrong section, forgive me and please move this thread to the appropriate one. Thanks!

Haha if you think that is safe you are kidding . Everyday while I monitor my guy botting I hear regular chat talk about seeing people under the map mining

Can you please point in my post where do I make any mention or connection to mining under the world ?

If they could do this then it would be likely they would implement it into warden and we would all be banned.(just my thought)

Correct. The entire point of HB/GB is that they use protection to hide this kind of thing from Warden.

Ah I see... So does that mean that unless player reported you are safe?

No server side detection from blizzard at all?

Yes.

HB & GB is completely un-detectable by Blizzard at this point in time.

This may change at any time. If detected, the tripwire will go off, and everyone who tries to connect to the AUTH servers will be denied access (to minimize the amount of bans).

If GB/HB is made detectable, you will see a banwave. This has only happened once in GBs/HBs history, due to another hack that was coded/protected badly. Unluckily, when blizz banned the users of that hack, every online GB user was banned with them - completely unlucky and not a fault from the BuddyTeam.

So to summarize this, you should lay low after people telling you they've opend a ticket and reported you? Just got a guy and some of his friends to report me... But like people have mentioned before, who knows how many report you without actually contacting you ingame and telling you about it.

Or how many reports it takes to be investigated.

This too.

Anyone got an idea how they work? Certain times that the possibility a GM actually show up on place after a report? I don't know how the ticket system works but for how long is the ticket active?
I just get the feeling that being reported and getting banned is just coincidences? I mean I can go around report random people for botting all the time, doesn't mean they will check it out. Must all be about time, place and perhaps like Exfelon said - how many reports you get?

HB/GB might be undetectable by warden, your toons behavior on the server is not. However, blizz have quite a lot of data coming in. :-) Unless botting really destroy the game experience for people they probably won't sink several million Euro into hardware for the more detailed logs and software to sift through them. I would guess that they have the ability to turn on a more verbose log for individual accounts and that they do that if they get enough reports on an account. So its possible to detect weird behavior from a toon but it is not good business for blizz to do it right now. (and probably never will)

That is my guess.

Conclusion, never gamble with something you can't lose. If you love that toon, don't bot your main account, play it. If your like me and love to bot? Bot em all, let god sort them out! :-)

the people who have been unforunate to get this 72 hour ban, what sort of activity have you had? i use GB mayb 8 hours a day, never sell my herbs though, i use em myself to make cards/flasks, n i NEVER spam ah, i aint been banned yet, (touch wood) but what have other people done so that they were banned?
