Hi, I recently just got another copy of my friends D3 account. Want to help him lv his toons using bots. Transfering gold and gear between account using -launch command to get two instance of D3 running. Just wondering if this is a dangerous thing to do?

Just curious, why do people use VMware to run multiple instances instead of just do the -launch command to open multiple D3 copy?

with vm ware you can change ip addresses, but it takes alot of resources (ram, extra money for the vmware) just do the launch command thing, nothing will probably happen.

they do cause they try to fake to blizz that each account is on its own system.

thanks for clearing my doubts... :D
i'll stick to the -launch as looking at the VMware guide is quite a lot of work for just a few short session of transfering item and gold

it should be fine, i don't think its any riskier then running 2 copies of wow at the same time.

i use the -launch and have been doing so for a few weeks. nothing happened yet. so if i get ripped by blizz. it would'nt be the reason.

Do you run both at same time or stagger? hours?

I run both at the same time. Not more than 15 min. Not running multiple bots with it, just transfering stuff.

On the side note, just got my friends toons to lv 60 and clearing inferno in mere 30 hours using questing profile. :)

Edit: Just found out that the question is not for me. Sorry.
