Hey guys, i finally broke down and bought a new laptop and i know people are posting all the time "what do i buy if i want a laptop to bot on" and i gotta say im fairly impressed with the one i got. it has a AMD A6 processor built on the new bulldozer tech, so its 1 chip that handles both the graphics and the processing. at first i was fairly skeptical, but now having put it in its place, i am very happy with the price to performance i paid for.

so what you need to know is.
This machine is running an A6 processor from AMD, and its a 4 core 1.6ghz processor. right now im botting 2 characters and the fps on both instances is really smooth but at times can drop to 45fps though normal they run at 60. overall im getting a little better performance then my desktop that has a Readon Hd 5550.

thats the stats with 2 wow's running, if you up the ram, might be able to comfortably run 4 wow instances with bots.

anyway. i just wanna say again for the price tag $425 its a great low level gaming laptop.

heres the link on amazon.

i gotta say its really nice to be able to be away from my desk and still be able to play games like TF2 and Boarderlands without lag. not to mention bot while away from home.

I'm afraid it's not...

Bulldozer is the new Desktop CPU platform, the replacement of the "old" Phenom/Athlon processors that are solely used for CPU purposes on the desktop.
The AMD A6 in this case is based on the Llano tech which is a combination of CPU (in this case based on the "old" Husky platform) and a GPU (in this case based on the Radeon HD6000 series).

The difference?
Bulldozer is ONLY CPU, has a very high power demand and high CPU performance.
Llano is an APU (meaning it does CPU and GPU calculations in one die), has a very low power demand (compared to CPU/GPU combination) and a relatively "low" performance (when compared to a dedicated CPU. It's still very high for it's power demand/price range)

The technology introduced in the Bulldozer cores will be added to the APU series somewhere halfway through next year.

That all having been said: Wow dude! That's one of the nicest laptops you can currently buy! If I were to get myself a full-featured laptop at the moment, it would definately have an A6 processor (or an A8)

i gotta say, now a few months later, i still really love this laptop, i love the fact that i can play modern games on it, and i love that it has HDMI so when i go into the living room all i gotta do is plug in the power cable, and 1 HDMI cable, and i can watch movies or play games on my tv, without having 3 cables. and being tethered based on the length of the VGA cable. HDMI 50ft cable FTW.
