Kill Range - no melee with WD

hey there,
cant find the setting for kill range option.
i dont want my WD in melee range.
im playing HC Season and died 3 times in melee range ;(

in which file or at which setting option could i change it?

I have tried to play around with the setting to get the WD to be OUTSIDE combat while the fetish does the damage but it seems impossible to get him to stop thinking he is a barb so I just stick a BotT gem on him and let him do what he does best at higher grift, meaning dying..
