I'm in the same boat, I've gotten my money's worth out of HB/GB over the years so losing my key while frustrating did not mean I lost money directly. I'm a pretty small developer with a few simple profiles. I only needed 1 key to be able to develop for the store and the community. I didn't mind the cut from the store, as it's a way for me to may a little side money as well and not get scammed. That being said, I can't continue to develop without a key, and I am not in a place where I really feel it's worth the time, effort, or money to buy another. I actually like developing profiles, but lately with the numerous ban waves and having to buy WoW keys to keep up, I can't sustain that upkeep and therefore cannot continue to develop. Unless they implement some sort of free version or an option for developers as suggested above I won't be developing anymore. On top of all that I feel pretty uncomfortable supporting a company that pulls this kind of behavior on it's customers. I do support the botting community, and maybe this is a sign to move on from HB to look at other options but I don't think people should take these actions lightly.

Keys are part of the daily work of store devs and com devs, why would you not simply ask for X sessions, which is the way we do since 2009 ?

This is news to me, I didn't realize the buddy team offered keys to the developers. All in all though, I don't have the time or resources to really dive back in. (For one I'm only running on a mac now that isn't set up with bootcamp. I also don't have extra copies of legion for new profile development.) I'm sure you've noticed my decline on the store and forums lately. It was a good run but I think I'm hanging my hat up. Thank you for the good times Bossland.

This isn't a business for me though, it's a hobby, so it's a cost I don't really want to bear anymore.

If you signed the contract though you are on the hook to provide support to customers for 1 year past their purchase date. I never actually saw the NEW version (no one would send it to me ='/ ) but presumably that did not change. So hobby or not, once you signed that contract you are on the hook to provide those services.

If I'm not mistaken the contracts last 1 year from signed date (August 2015 for me) or with a new expansion release, not from user purchase date. That being said I never got a confirmation that my contract was received, although it is evident that I did since I'm in here and have received payments from Bossland. I've not seen anything regarding contracts since then, and honestly I don't have a whole lot up there that needs maintenance, or people asking for help. I can most likely diagnose things without needing HB.
