Hey Guys,

So obviously having a computer running 24/7 isnt cheap! especially in LONDON.

so to keep computer running cool n smooth i have decent cooling clean computer i remove mouse keyboard have 2 readyboost sticks.

i also use "CleanMem" to keep ram clean.

is there anything to keep CPU down as obviously when 3 accounts n honorbuddy the CPU tends to be sitting around 35-40%.

ive found "ProcessTamer" has any1 used it or similar software?

Or post all your tips for keeping the computers power costs down :)

Cheers,
Kungen.

put computer to sleep when not botting, put screen to sleep after 1 minute

Screen one is a nice tip i usually turn it off completely when away from PC but will adjust timer to 1 min just incase :P

I found that after I reinstalled wow today its running alot smoother than before less CPU less glitchy

.... if you are worried about power your comp isn't were u should be looking...

at one point my monthly power bill was $647 for a 6 bedroom house with 8 people living here. [ i have my computer running 24/7 as does my gf and brother - all 3 are high powered gaming machines]

our power bill in the middle of winter is now only $376, just by switching shit off we are not using , and is ALOT cheaper in summer

Fridges / freezers - bad seals just chew through money.

tvs / mointors etc on standby.

Hot water - if ur on gass this doesnt matter, but if u have a cylinder getting it insulated can save u 100's of dollars [turning it off is a bad idea as it takes less money to sustain already hot water than heating a new lot too use]
