I have an account with Cata installed and 1 85 and another chr is 83.
I chr is 73 and working towards 80
I can join random instances with the 73 and wanting to use IB to get him max JP.

What about this chr when he turns 80?
Can he still run Lick King random heroics by using Dungeon finder?

Can the 80+ chrs do anything in WotLK heroics for JP or are they locked into cata dungeons?

You can still run Wrath instances on 80+ toons. I've done it on my shaman, who's level 81. The only drawback is that Blizzard has made it so that now you have to find the entrances to dungeons in order to get to them in the dungeon finder. At least, this is how it was said throughout guild chat in my guild. I'm not sure if it's just Cataclysm dungeons, or all dungeons in general. I know when I press 'I', which opens the LFG window, it shows all dungeons that I can get into, even in Cataclysm, but I know for an absolute fact you have to physically find the entrances to the Cataclysm dungeons.

And, yes, you still get JP for Wrath dungeons, though you only get around 20 I believe for randoms. Cataclysm randoms net you 70 JP.

I may not be explaining this correctly, or some facts may be lesser than they should be. I'm sure someone else can explain it far better than I can.

Great to hear it since the 83 I have only has 2200 JP I might que him for some Wrath instances to get him to the 4k max.

Np. I know the first one of the day gives you some extra JP, but I don't really pay attention to it since I use IB. lol So, I'm not sure if all the randoms give you a little extra, or if it's the first random of the day.
