Long story short, got one of my accounts banned and the response from Blizzard was "too bad so sad, you dirty cheat."

Where was I when spotted? You guessed it. In Uldum feeling bulletproof.

Take the advice that I didn't listen to, don't bot Uldum. Only onee account got smoked for good, so that's a plus.
 
Some more info such as what you were doing in uldum, for how long, and what you were doing immediately prior to being banned might be useful for the community.
 
Atm it has nothing to do where you bot because blizzard support does not have the time to invesitgate like they did 3-4 months ago. They are completely SWAMPED now with the SOR requests and what not.
Try calling them, its like a 3 hour wait to get a GM on the phone.
 
I was mining for about four hours. Bans are an unfortunate aspect of what we do and I know I was just likely reported. Shit happens and then I just use another account. Gg blizzard.
 
7/10 are getting banned while botting in uldum, but you still do it... When will people learn?

^^This. I quit botting Uldum a long time ago. I'm debating to even Quest bot there anymore. I may just start arch/BG botting once I hit 83. I'll get myself to friendly, buy a tabard, and dungeon grind the rep for Ramkahen that way.
 
I've been in Uldum as a miner for like 2 nights in a row and no ban, it's mostly just some idiots reporting you.

tip: Always try to supervise your bot as much as possible imo.

Oh really?

People are getting banned because of other botters mainly.
Uldum is a bot paradise, and in a paradise of bots, the banhammer is the president.

Just because you supervise it does not mean you cant be banned, a bot still looks like a bot.
 
I guess we all have to agree on the thing that it depends on the popularity of the realm, I guess it's all pure randomness to get banned or not.
 
Well if your on a high pop server there are like 3x more people on then a low pop server, so there's more chances of getting reported.
The best thing you can do is move to a low pop server, or change mining zones.
 
ive been botting in uldum for weeks on my server, uldum is like a dead zone ive only seen one other person farming there and it was a lvl 80 druid

I'm so scared of botting in Uldum on my realm, last time I did it I saw two guys in front of me and one behind me going the exact same path lol :p
