So think I'm going to start bot farming with HonorBuddy. However, the only account I have is my main account - so I would need to create a separate account to start botting with. So I was thinking I would create a brand new account and buy legion for the free 100 boost. I would be using a spare laptop and utilizing a VPN (I already have a VPN for torrenting on my main PC, I would just need to put it on my laptop).

I primarily would want to be farming herbs, so I was wondering what the best course of action would be. Do I need to both leveling herbalism from 1-700 or can I start right away in legion? I was thinking I would cap my character at 101 and buy twink gear for it for the best farming experience. However, would that look fishy? To only have a a capped 101 on a brand new account? I would probably be using a paid profile because if I'm going to invest $80 on a new account, I should probably spend the extra $10-$15 to make sure I don't get banned right away.

I'm assuming the best class/race for herbalism is Tauren Prot Paladin? 20% movement speed increase, faster herbalism, high HP + able to heal itself) all seem like winners to me.

Is there anything I'm missing? Should I bother leveling to 110 or would the 101 twink work/not be too suspicious.

Thanks for the input!

I believe you will benefit more from being level 110 . and you can level herb/mining from 1-800 in legion if im not mistaken :)

Presumably I should use a free profile to level from 100-110?

One thing I forgot to mention:

From what I've read, the best way to move herbs is to donate them to your guild bank on your bot account and to withdraw them on your main account? I would probably be using the herbs to create flasks on my main, so that's another layer of potential anonymity. Is there a better solution then this?

Wouldn't it be more efficient to level from 100-110 via herbalism or would it be faster to use a bot to do quests to get from 100-110?

I only care about getting the herbs, so I'm not sure why being 110 off the bat would be a benefit. Is it a survivability issue or an issue of a brand new account leveling from 100-110 just via herbalsim looks suspicious?

Depends on the server you are on and how often you may get ganked. Normally questing is the fastest way on most servers.

PS Never use BGBuddy.

Why is that? is it like an instant spotlight to get banned?

Go into a BG and look how many bots you notice almost immediately...Especially in the middle of the night.

There's your answer right there.

I haven't done a BG since about half way through WoD, but I remember waking up in the middle of the night on multiple occasions and watching BG's where both teams were completely bots.

So, back to the original question, you should use the default leveling profile to go from 100 to 110. Mobs in Suramar don't scale so if you cap @ 101 you wouldn't be able to gather starlight rose. Gathering exp falls off at some point so you can't really gather your way to 110. Plus it looks fishy if you don't do any quests.
When you hit 110, a lot of mobs will hit like trucks since you'll be ~i770, although that's mitigated somewhat if you're tank. If you don't want to gear up the character by hand, run the (free) WQ profile a couple hours a day to gear up fairly quickly. You're going to need to run WQ for order resources anyways, unless you just don't want to touch your class hall.
Tank specs are nice and safe. Paladins, DH, and DK are all solid choices with self heal. DK also has waterwalking for fishing if you want to do that eventually.
There's no perfect way to wash botted items. They can always follow the trail back, but the method you mentioned is probably relatively safe.
