Just some details, from an experience botter botting HotS

Hi Everyone,

I have been botting Heroes of The Storm since Alpha.

I have been using a private bot, which is closed to the public. ( Please Note: I did NOT make the bot! The creator was a very well-rounded coder friend of mine, and he did an amazing job!)

Anyways, the reason for this post is I wanted to express to the community what "Botting" Will mean for Heroes of the Storm.


Your Botting Goals, if you will.

- Max Level Account (40)
- Max Level Champions (20) *(Realistically, getting them all to 10 first which is what I did) (20 will take a VERY long time)
- Getting tons of gold to unlock all the Master Skins, aswell as purchase ALL champions :)

That is the entegrity and entirety of botting in Heroes of The Storm.


I know there are other bots for some Mobas, that will do Combos' and Orb Walking (I'm specifically talking about league of legends) - but my bot did not do this. It was an AFK Leveler/Gold Farmer bot.



My question, and excitement, is wanting to know will this bot from BossLand be another "AFK/Leveler/GoldFarm Bot" --- OR Will it allow us to Hold Space Bar and play the game ourselves and do amazing combos and Orb Walk? - IF these are the intentions of BossLand, then SIGN ME UP FOR A LIFETIME KEY!!! :D
 
It may not be a built in function but with how many plugins are always made for buddy bots I would be very surprised if a combat bot was not one of them.

Very True! - and with the league of legend bot I was specifically reffering too, THAT is how the bot is setup. There is a client, and then many coders write code to put scripts in for the bot to run manually.


^_^ So Frickn Anxious for this OMG!!! :D THIS is the final nail in the coffin for League of Legends once BossLand releases this bot! :D

I am cautiously optimistic, and I hope people will use this for matches VS A.I. At the end of the day, I think most of us actually bot games, that we like to play, not just to bot. And nobody likes to get grouped with 2 bots that are (no offence to the buddyteam) absolute garbage at teamplay and the coordination required for it. The same thing that makes HearthBuddy unreliable for reaching high ranks, it cant anticipate or predict whats gonna happen.

I agree here to an extent And a note on hearthbuddy There were alot of things that kept it from getting high ranks. From the release to its current build its 150% better. Is it the best, NO!
Without botmaker making the AI and pushedx For everything else i hate to see where it really be. No offence to hankerspace.

I do think that its still improving a lot. and whats REALLY holding it back atm is the AI but it gets smarter with every update.

I'd really like to know Bossland's stance on this. Sure, combat assist is fine in QM and AI, but HL/TL is pretty much the equivalent to Arena's for WoW as far as spirit of competition as well as the publicity the bot will receive if it is too obvious. Auto-kick is not too far away from an auto-stun from a myriad of heroes. Zagara instant Maw as soon as Valla starts spinning? Or worse, instant void prison as one of their team is casting while half your team is sitting in the pack. The logic for all this will need to be pretty complex to get away with it.
 
I'm not sure what the intentions are for the bot, but the current bot is basically a complex autohotkey script that uses pixel/image searches. There is no memory reading/injection at all.

What that means is, at least for the short term, you can expect the bot to do what the one you already have does. Farm you stuff that would otherwise take you a mindnumbingly long time. It is not a combat assist and personally I don't see how it could be that without injection/reading of memory.

Also, unless you wanna be reported for botting, expect most of your games to be played vs AI (with AI allies), and for almost all of these games to be losses. These hundreds/thousands of losses vs AI (with AI allies) will be displayed in your game history.

Please don't misinterpret this. I am not knocking the bot in any way. I intend to purchase it as soon as it becomes available and use it to hit the daily cap. Just want to ensure that people go into this with their eyes open.
 
in going to buy it anyway but I would think that this Ai should be better then blizzard ai and have at least be able to win vs ai 75% of the games I would like to see 75% but even 50%. It may not do this now but hopefully in time.

I truly would like to see this be able to Be able to hold its own in quick match like hb and battlegrounds maybe it will in 6 months or maybe quick match will be disabled or that could be impossible. who knows
 
Yes. Of course it can happen that you'll get 2 loses in a row but it wasn't often. In one night i was doing arround 20-30 matches and got only 1-3 loses. So, your statistic stays positive and even improving

I assume this was VS A.I?
 
You can easily win vs AI if you play with human allies. They carry you to victory. The problem is, the chance they notice you are playing like a bot and report you is high.
If you play with AI allies, the chances of this is very low, but you will not win the 9/10 you are claiming.

Also, when you mention 'old version', makes me think you used it back before 'with AI allies' was even an option in HOTS.
