Just wondering how safe a bot would be to run about 12 hours a day, only picking up ilvl 63's/legendaries and sets? Also wondering if someone could help me find the tools I need to setting up such a thing, personally never botted before but if I can make back 60$ that I spent on D3 I'd be happy. :)
 
because were all blizzard employees or have access to insider information right?

its about as safe as running it 2 hours a day.

You have all the tools right here in this forum. Look around.
 
There's a really good guide section. I'd recommend starting there. As for the hours to bot. That's completely up to you. In my opinion, botting 24/7 is a guaranteed ban in probably 2 - 3 months tops. The only right answer when it comes to the time is the amount you're comfortable with.
 
There is no safe botting. If it's something you want to get into you have to realize the moment you start the bot your account is at risk. Like a previous poster implied we don't work at Blizzard, nor does Blizzard release all the details on how they catch bots, so it's all speculation with educated guesses made by those that know a thing or two. Also just warning you with your question expect to get some people flaming you. More people are coming in because they heard you can make money botting, and they have the mentality of "I heard you can make money. Hey everyone, can you type up a list of exactly what I have to do so I can start making money too?". There are already VERY generous individuals on these forums that share pretty valuable insight and profiles/plugins that they have spent days/weeks slaving over, and offered them free to this community. If you spend a little time searching the forums you could probably find all the information you are looking for. To answer your questions though 12 hours a day is just as dangerous as 2 or 24 (although some people believe 24 is very risky). There are guides on how to set up the bot in the "Guides" forum, with a breakdown on how to install the bot and what dependencies it relies on, as well as some popular leveling profiles and plugins.
 
it all depends on what your doing, if you mix up your profiles then you can bot for longer. but nothing is guaranteed
