Just hit 80 and need gold

I need about 5K gold but dont have the cash right now to buy GB. What's everyone recommend farming?

I've been bringing in a decent amount of cash with Panyamas snow drift plains profile that I used from 77-80 but I was wanting to change it up a bit and hopefully get a little more gold then I was getting there.

Setup the firefly over night and wake up to 5k.

Can you post that bird grind you are talking about would love to give it a shot I also don't have gatherbuddy yet.
 
To be honest... I ran the hyacinth macaw profile for over 48 hours (not continuously) probably around combined 20,000 loots, and I have never gotten one. In 2000 loots, I got 5 fireflies which sell for ~2k on my server. Fireflies are the way to go IMO.
 
Well, i ran Firefly as a leveling profile.. 14h and not one, so it really depends on luck basically ^^
 
I use to farm the Firefly's back in BC days with Glider.. didn't know they still sell that good.. I'll have to give em a try when it comes back online. I usually got 2 a day or so on average just leveling there.. farming it with a 80 I expect i might do even better
 
I'm at around 500 kills and no pet yet.. but It's only getting around 110 kills an hour because i run out of mobs too quickly.. thinking about expanding the profile panyama made to cover a wider area..

What one are you talking about/Where can I find it? The only one I found on the forums is the one by Panyama
 
what's different between that one and pan's? other than you added another graveyard? Also isn't that a horde profile/?

I'm at around 800 kills so far with no drop.. took a few hour break to do some FOS/Toc/pos runs.. got quite lucky ended up getting 3 pieces of gear tonight
 
Same here, 2 nights, 4 levels but not a single firefly (and I added em to the protected list to be sure).
 
well I left that boat.. somewhere around 1200 kills I got my first one.. Ran it to AH put the bot back in Zangar and i'm going back to bed.. hoping to wake up to it being sold and another in my bag.
 
I got about 6 of these from running for a few hours a day for about 4/5 days and sold one for 3k and another for 2k, still have a couple to see but seems people dont want to spend the cash on my server :0
