The best way is to read these boards up and down. Take notes, make bookmarks, study what you find here as if it were homework. Get some knowledge. Even try to understand the structure of how to script the bot yourself.
In every way information is always king. Surely, you can always "risk" learning too much, but all-in-all that would only help you in the end.
This isn't only how you become a good botter, but good at anything you decide to pursue.
I might come off as a douche saying this, but that wasn't my intention.
