Joystick-to-Mouse Software?

I'm a lefty starting to get some serious carpal tunnel & unfortunately none of the joystick style mice on the market are designed for left-handers (unless you have a link to one!!), so I was wondering if anyone has ever had occasion to turn their gaming joystick into a mouse - and what their experience was.

I see a lot of trackballs...but I just can't imagine trying to get used to it or how it would be in an MMO.

Correct. Every owned a PS3 and attempted to browse the internet... not very easy with the Controller.

well if you wanna play wow, i wrote a plugin called Mr.Gamepad, where you can use a xbox 360 gamepad to play wow with, whats nice is that you can load up lazy raider and your good to go and since its injecting right into HB theres no crappy, lets move the mouse around mentality, and can be customized at a level way beyond any joypad to keyboard software since you have access to all of the HB api and all of WoW's Api it just requires some programming knowledge.

thanks for the insights here! Maybe I'll get a cheap trackball, I do nothing but mouse & keyboard all day for my work so it would be a chance to get used to it. Mr. Gamepad sounds promising too - when you say it requires programming knowledge, you mean I would have to program the button configuration etc? idk anything about that, but I'm getting motivated enough to try just about anything lol.

it comes setup with presets, but if you wanna go more into it, like say, find the party member with the lowest health and cast the spell appropriate, then that would have to be coded.

Oh I see, so it has the "pNp" and then can do more complex things if coded. Neat idea, ty for the explanation!

i definitely tried to make it so if someone else wanted to run with it, it would be not only easy, but work work. sadly no one has asked for it, but idk, maybe ill pick it back up again, at some point.
