quite a few got 6 months but i and others also got perma bans, havent heard of fresh 6 months for a week now.

The reason for the 6 month ban is because they know botters won't wait that long and those banned accounts are still treated as subscribers. It's simply a way to trick investors into thinking that subscriber's numbers are increasing or it helps towards those numbers.

And the whole "6 months bans" case was a kind of HOAX, since they came with 6.1, continued for around 10-14 days, while hitting Only casual botters, which were generally using the most harmless kind of botting - rotation botting in raids, then they mysteriously stopped.

Since almost a month, we seen none of them, so this could only confirm the above!

P.S.: Of course the truth can be very different:
Like this kind of automatic banscould had delivered too much false positives, and Blizzard had to take the logic down for a while, till polish it out. (We only assume its automatic bans, no solid proof, as usual on the "ban scene")
