Itemforaura, root element missing

Hi.

im getting this error during the honorbuddy startup.
Code:

Ive made several fresh installs today but I am still getting this error.

I have seen this plugin in kicks svn repository before so i tried getting a newer version from there but the plugins directory (and also questbehaviors for that matter) appears to be empty.

I would like to know if this is an expected error which i can ignore or if someone knows of a fix? thx.

I get that any time I try to use kicks quest profiles but, so far it has worked fine with kicks profiles aside from a few that are to hard for the bot to do smartly.
 
Not sure what build you are using but I have seen where copying in Kick's behaviors put this in a folder by itself so there were actually two versions in my plugins folder. I deleted the one that didn't match Kick's and it worked fine afterwards.
 
ok, so im using the latest build (2.0.0.5947). I looked through the release archive and "ItemForAura.config" is missing. I cant help but suspect that this is my problem. Questhelper does seem to create a new one if it cant find it but it seems to be just an empty dummy. I dont pretend to know the intricacies of the plugin but i quickly looked over the code and it tries to load this file every time its run (and fails). Honorbuddy does seem to work well enough without it for the time being though.

it should work fine with 5947

install hb from scratch and that will fix it
 
ah thats not it :/. Ive installed hb from scratch a couple of times today already. For the sake of argument though i re-downloaded honorbuddy and extracted it straight into a new folder and ran it just now. still getting the very same error.

I checked out an earlier revision of kicks svn (1540) and copied over that version of questhelper (which included the correct ItemForAura.config). works fine now :)
Except for the error in the log i didnt notice any real problems. I believe ive had this problem in the last build as well but except for a few general questing issues it has worked fine (don't know if related).


You might want to look over the release archive though. To recap, ItemForAura.config is not included in the release rar. Thank you for the help :) I now consider this issue solved.

parrot can you help me find the earlier version of kick's svn (1540), I have the same error.
 
Doesnt matter.

It only says it will load the "standard" config data, nothing to worry about.
