Issues updating ExileBuddy

Dear reader,

I get an error attempting to update the bot through the previous version, where it asks you wether you want to update it or not and showing what would be updated if you clicked ''Ok''.

I am running it with administrative rights so I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix it...

You can try restarting your PC if its failing to update from a previous version. Always works for me after a reboot.

Do realize the bot currently needs updated again, since GGG released another minor patch about 30 minutes ago.

After last update Exilebuddy. Client Exilebuddy have always crash.

Try a fresh install of EB then. You can copy the settings folder over so you wont have to reconfig everything.

Have you tried running the .exe file as admin? Have had problems sometimes with patches, when not running the file as admin.

running it as admin fixed my issue thanks for the suggestion!

I've also noticed my malwarebytes has been locking my EB process and files during development more and more now, so check for similar as well. Nothing changed in our updater that I know of recently, and other than the Windows issue of blocking almost all zips that contain an exe, it seems just more system protection issues are starting to cause problems. GGG had the same issue with their updater a while back, which is why they had it put into the main client, since AVs were flagging it as malicious (false positive, but means game cant be updated). Just something we have to deal with sadly.
