I am farming 5k gold a day by being afk and just auction housing the stuff in 45 minutes.
And I am selling the gold for 1.9 dollars/k to a website without a single ban.

Would you call that a success or is it not worth it?
 
I think it's pretty decent. Im so stuck with profiles though, I have one Miner and one Herb+Miner and I've recently started getting awful harvests.. Any suggestions/what do you use?
 
Thats pretty good. Could you tell me what you're farming? I'm on a different server so you don't have to worry about competition.
 
So you're making 9 dollars a day?

In the wow gold selling game i suppose that's alright. Or if it was 1930.

It's "alright" considering he's running a single bot.

I don't see how can you be pulling 5k each day by just using the AH..
On all my 8 bots the daily income vary between 2 to 4k , 4k is when it's a good day on a low populated realm with not much competition.

But yea, it's not worth it if you're going to be running a single bot.
You'll need at least 5 bots to start saying "i'm making money".

I agree with what ZoooooooM says. Not to flame you, anything's possible, but it sounds too good for just one bot with most realms economies. Of course I'm on a very high pop server, when I run 2 bots, I tend to make 1-2k max a day, mostly off fish, some raid food, herbs, ores, gems, and flasks.
 
today i made about 1.5k in 4 hours botting so 5k is pretty doable
 
may I ask what you looted in 4 hours that sold for 1.5k?

Well... that's a common misunderstanding.

In x amount of hours you loot enough amount of materials to gain 2k (considering you know the price already of every material you've gathered).
When you actually get to start selling them you won't end up with EXACTLY 2k, it will be either higher or lower.
We're not dealing with constant values. Prices change every minute. just because you made 2k from selling x amount eternals doesn't mean that if you sold the same amount the next day you'll also make 2k.

And also, just because you think in 4 hours you gathered enough materials to make 2k of gold doesn't mean that if you gathered for 8 hours you'll have enough to make 4k of gold.
There are quite a few variables to take in consideration.

You could gather the same amount of loot in the next 4 hours or gather more or even less.
The prices could be higher or lower.
Possible competition.
Dumb botters who flood the AH with all the materials they gathered the past week.

It's all "estimates".
It's just that most people talk about their highest "estimates" rather than their minimum or average estimates.

That's how i see it anyway :)
 
I am farming herbs/minerals with the switcher and sometimes when i overfill the ah i switch to safe 2.5 in order to keep the herb/mine correlation steady.
 
Oh and lichbloom is like 40g a stack and titanium ore is 200g a stack. Saronite ore/bars i am vending.
 
Across 2 accounts, I am making around 3-4k a day (my botting is fucking up the economy on most items). I'm quite jealous at how good of an economy your server has.
 
This is only successful when mom is paying the electricity bill. and not YOU.
 
My server economy has gone to hell in a handbasket over the past two weeks. For example, Frost Lotus, which was selling for 15-18 gold each two weeks were down to 7 gold each at last login. Lots of stuff has now went under the threshold I had setup on QuickAuctions....*sucks*
 
I suppose its ok if you only have to pay for game time..but its going to take quite a while to make much profit.

I am using tristan3103-Wintergrasp profile and have 3 farm accounts and 1 banking account, each making like 5k aday so making in total about 20euros aday. Sometimes 15 euros and sometimes 40, totally depends on the prices.

How much do you get paid hourly at your current job, if at all? Could you be doing alternate paid work instead of adjusting your WoW char?

Other than financial gain, do you gain any enjoyment out of this activity?
