Is there some code in the downloaded part of BW that I can comment out to prevent mounting my speeder ?

Should be able to set the speeder name to 'blank', and uncheck 'automatically find mount'.

If that doesn't 'stick', you may need to shut down BW, edit the settings file, then restart BW.
