I'm wondering about the five tanking classes and which one would work best, have played all but Warriors extensively.

Yeah, all Tanks are strong, but I have to admit I am so loving Paladin right now.

paladins: are pretty good
bears: use to be good, theyre really just do jack shit in terms of dmg mitigation and self-healing
warriors: good if you wanna be a bladestorming tank?
death knights: if you know how to spec / play one, and not taking damage to the dace, utilizing blood shield is easier than some people make it look. And with 2 magic absorption shields, cant go wrong.

There's a whole lot of number crunching atm, but all in all if you have a DK laying around with 378 gear, Id stick with that, less bullshit, high dmg output and great survival.

+1 dk is great....

Im gonna continue playing my guardian in MoP, active mitigation means we actually have things to do while tanking now. So druids are good if you know how to play them.

brewmaster or something, monks tank specc

I forgot about the fifth class. I'm going to try a brewmaster they look fun.

im playing a warrior atm , i have the rotation down, and im able to keep my mitigation up with my shield absorb which can absorb upto 90k ,plus block anc crit block being high on my other procs, it just seems a little bit broken gear wise atm, my dodge dropped quite a lot , my parry went up a few % so now there nearlly 10% apart , my block is near on 29% but my crit block is 80% , the dmg is quite high but until blizzard buff the tanking gear to scale with what ever they have done i dont think we will see the true power of tanks in MOP, but that said ive played a druid and the mitigation seems nice , they have a nice self heal which heals for quite a lot and there dodge increase which u can keep up near on 100% of the encounter, i think playing a druid you need to decide weather your going to dps and keep up mitigation in certain stages of the fight as eating attacks isnt so bad with the mastery increasing your armor. all in all i think tanks got a major revamp to be more appealing to play as before it was rather boring

Right now my druid tank takes about half the damage my paladin tank takes..
My druid also out dps's most of the dpsers while I am in tank mode.

when u look at tanks , don't look at over all how good that tank is, or which tank is more op, its what your comfortable playing . tanks need to watch there rage closely as most mitigating abilities cost 60+ rage to be effective or to even use. all tanks are equal , sure some do more dmg some take less dmg . some have more mobility ,silences etc.if your look at leveling a new tank for MOP, id strongly suggest a paladin/druid or even a monk if you can wait as if you do not like tanking you can switch to heals or even dps
