I meant to reply to this a couple of days ago but I see now that I didn't. Anyway, the short answer is no - it hasn't been abandoned. We'll update TankLeader for new map updates - which is pretty much all Wargaming does that affects our bot. Other than that we are looking to address the freezing issues, which are confirmed to be caused by a deadlock in our MVVM for the tech-savvy guys among you. It's proven harder to tackle than expected, but it's something we want to address.
Even though TL isn't very compliant with the way XVM wants you to play, it can in fact grind from tier 1 to 2 much faster than a player can, and therefore works as intended.
Yeah, indeed it does work as it should, and delivers what advertised and im glad for that, however it dosen't change the fact it's just dumb as a boot.
It simply rushes towards the enemy with a kamikaze charge like an insane bull. It dosen't even try to cower or use destroyed tanks as something to shoot behind from. And when it's getting fired from 3 sides, all the bot has in it's mind is how to spam unstuck function in middle of hornet's nest.
Default targeting system could be also improved.. For example, it sees a medium tank over hill, and tries shooting it.. Medium tank backs up a bit, and at the same time an SPG comes right next to you from right side, yet the bot keeps targeting for the unreachable uphill medium tank even when the SPG stands next to you for 20 seconds lol.
You keep updating the bot but what you lack here is the developement part. You are just keeping it alive, instead of exploring new areas of possible improvents. After years of developement, i would expect this bot already to know how to chat with others via simple messages and use call commands.
Either way, i will still continue using this even if nothing new appears. But should a new competiting software appear, half of the userbase would most likely switch to it. Luckily all of the current ones are 10x worser
