Is Milling and prospecting used to make money ?

Im not to familiar with those terms, and i have been trying to make money on my server but my maxed out mining and skinning isn't making that much as prices are low on my server.
Can i do anything such as this milling or prospecting to make good cash ?

if not can anybody suggest any ways of making good cash on wow

Come on man you must know prospecting can make money at least and milling lets you make ink to make glyphs which can be insanely good for money too.

To be honest im only a casual player, I level my characters using the bot and then just raid with my characters each week.
Don't know much about the game in all honesty.
