Been reading about people being banned for using keyboards (ie logitec 710, Razor etc ) with macro's attached to certain keys then getting banned , surly this would be using a similar method to HB ,, why not try to get these keyboard manufacturers involved in the legal issues with mass ban waves against blizz .. just a thought :)

Using these is still automation, no matter if its 3rd party software as HB, or drivers for certain hardware (which is technically unauthorized 3rd party software for Blizzard too).

So this is obviously classified as bannable by Blizzard staff.

Regarding these manifacturers, I see no sense in the above.

No...

Whilst automating anything can get you banned and key what you listed can get you banned is nothing at all similar in how hb works... Not even the slightest..

Hb reads the games memory, then injects player actions back into the game..

Kb macros recorded someone's key presses then repeats them on a certain rotation... Much like auto hot key ... Also ban able ..

However I would love to know how blizzard has banned players for doing such thing as its near impossible to detect.. As it doesn't interact with the game at all.

They get player reports, easy enough for Blizz!

This is pure BS.

/castsequence is part of the game. Stop falling for everything you read.

I used to be hugely into multiboxing, so things like this concerned me all the time.

As an official statement from a staff member over at Blizzard:
"It's not bannable as long as the human is invoking the inputs and nothing is being exploited in the game client."
That's not a direct quote, just paraphrasing what they had stated.

If you push a macro button on your keyboard, and it does a sequence of events - it's not bannable.
However, if you macro it in a way that it loops the sequence of events endlessly - it could be bannable because the looping behavior is considered automation.

Keyboard macros the OP is talking about is more then just pressing G5= /castsequence stop.

He is talking about timed macros that repeat them self- This is automation and is certainly bannable if caught.

So are blizzard sueing the manufacturers of the keyboard/mouse ?
I think not, so it's nothing to do with HB.

lol Manufacturers would laugh at that sense the wow gaming mouse has a looping option..
