Is key trading officially sanctioned?

My apologies if this isn't the correct forum.

I have a second HB key that I won't be using, however I would be interested in trying out the DemonBuddy product. I'm curious if I can trade my key to someone who has a DB key and wants HB. And I mean trade in a way that we each have our old keys deactivated and get fresh, new keys for the product we trade to. (Example - my old HB key is deleted, his old DB key is deleted, I get a new DB key, he gets a new HB key)

Is this possible, or would we just have to find someone we trust and make the trade in a dirty back alley?
