3 Mass banwaves for HB or with other bots aswell?
What do suicide dungeons actually mean? Sorry, been away for quite a long time
Suicide runs? new accounts are getting flagged automatically, and most accounts are perma'd within a week. its just a way to clear or farm transmog raid/dungeons on a boosted character as many times as you can & depositing into a guild or trade before the account is perma-banned. this is more of a FU than a viable strategy for gold making, unless you're also getting wow accounts with the boost or RAF accounts cheap.
it's going to be a different story in july when the movie & promos come out,
that's the time to shine.
as for non-HB banwaves, depends. other bots don't have the resources to track bans / users that well, ie take the cash and run, sic. can't discuss other bots here, so ... let your imagination run wild.
bossland has the numbers, and who knows. they think it's safe to keep selling HB, so that's positive news? as a pleb, you can only go off forum guests/visitor numbers, and they're much lower than it was last year. most people either stayed, moved to tor/reborn/hearth/wildstar sic. etc or just kept playing on their secondary accounts by hand.
the idiots, hardcore multi-botters & fanbois stayed (of course).
prior to the massive banwave, bots have been perma-banned. that was expected. even a month after the massive hb banwave, other bots were perma-banned. so there was special treatment, or, they tripped a new kind of warden. more likely, the latter.
pure speculating, they switched to temp bans because they wanted to sell tokens and boost subscriber numbers, a way to keep players hooked and to absorb/hook the gold selling market. but, in order to absorb the losses of sub numbers, they needed to clean house and prevent casual botters, but not create a backlash / noticeable effect on sub numbers. temp bans make the sub numbers look better when players make new accounts, while the tokens increase MAU (players that log in as active players each month, not concurrent/subscribed.) which improves sales/stats and participation, which means all their metrics improve.
So, in order to prevent the loss created by thousands of parasite/suicide accounts farming for gold for tokens, they've upped their game in the last few years to be less noticeable, and much more passive about collecting stats. i tend to use the red/yellow/purple flags, because, sports.
Warden, might be the red flag for detection, but since it hasn't changed in a significant time, there's speculation they've added it to the launcher, or there's some new twist to the way warden works. bliz have the time/resources to create passive detection, i.e. scripting & metrics, profile/path detection, 'optimised path' detection, node per hour metrics, etc. and create lots of reports. someone then gets a list of new accounts, and some human reads the reports as "yellow flags" or "purple flags" (i.e. depositing small sums of gold into trades/mail/guild accounts not on the same bnet account) and bans the account.
that's my current belief. it might be more/less clunky, but it's the current theory. this allows all kinds of anti-warden apps to exist, and not have to craft specialist detection for the app, just those using scripting and repetitive/dumb actions. i still have the dumb idea that i got flagged for using garrison profiles, because, that's pretty much all i was doing at the time. but, IDK. maybe a fault with hbrelog. hard to say. not using either now, so ymmv.
